The selected books are translated from their original language into the other three languages, creating a vibrant exchange of stories, cultures, and ideas across the region.

This initiative not only increases the availability of literary works across the Caribbean but also encourages a deeper appreciation of the region’s diverse cultures and histories. By expanding the reach of these stories, the CARICON Project aims to foster a sense of shared identity and mutual understanding among the people of the Caribbean, while also celebrating the distinctiveness of each linguistic and cultural group.

The CARICON Project is more than just a translation effort—it’s a movement to unite the Caribbean through literature, making cherished stories available to all and creating opportunities for literary exchange across the region.
