FAQ
CARICON is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Caribbean literature, culture, and heritage. Through annual events, workshops, and initiatives, we connect Caribbean authors, creatives, and communities worldwide while fostering cultural appreciation and literary excellence.
CARICON organizes several signature events, including the CARICON Conference, Poetry Slam, Writers’ Retreat, and the Voices of the Street Festival. These activities provide platforms for authors, poets, and other creatives to showcase their work, engage audiences, and build professional connections.
CARICON offers opportunities such as pitch sessions with literary agents, panel discussions, workshops, and networking events. We also provide platforms for book promotions, cultural exchange, and collaborations with publishers, producers, and other industry professionals.
Our programs are open to Caribbean authors, writers, creatives, and literature enthusiasts from all backgrounds. We also welcome students, educators, and businesses looking to engage with Caribbean culture and literature.
CARICON is supported through a combination of corporate sponsorships, individual donations, grants, event ticket sales, and merchandise. These funding sources enable us to sustain our programs and expand our outreach.
